Me and two of the wonderful 5th graders

For the first time on the WR I wanted to cry when I was leaving our ministry site.  I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed my month until I went to my 4th/5th grade class the last day to say goodbye.  They all ran up and gave me cards they made and as a class they gave me a yellow and green lunch box type thing.  Yellow and green being, of course, the colors of South Africa (not to mention NDSU colors).  Then I went to the 6th/7th grade class and as a class they made me a popup card.  That alone makes it awesome, but what was written inside me it even better.  All the cards were so sweet and make my heart so happy.  Even though I only knew them for 3 weeks and in those three weeks they hit, yelled, pouted, disobeyed, and were overall pretty crazy, I care so much about each one of them.

So as all the kids left on the last day, I got a bundle of hugs and I got a little sad that I wouldn’t be waking up at 6am anymore to go teach some multiplication.
