Stuck in the forest in who knows where Georgia with 130 people I've never met before. This week we have spent at Training camp sleeping in tents, buses, outside and this may be Georgia, but 40 degrees is cold anywhere. Yesterday we got the opportunity to meet our team. This is the team I will be spending 11 months with. Living with, loving, struggling, comforting, growing, blessing, experiencing and so much more.
Right after getting my team of 2 men and 4 beautiful women we made our way back into the real world! We went into the community to do whatever God led us to do and of course to eat some quality food! The stories that were made yesterday were truly God lead. My team started out at Walmart and got the opportunity to talk to a woman named Abby at Walmart. She shared a little about her life and we told her what we were doing in GA. Then we got the opportunity to pray over her. It was such a nice blessing to share God's love with a near stranger and to see her smile as we walked away.
From there we went to get coffee and dinner and were able to share our life stories with eachother. It was such a great time not only to get to know eachother, but also to share how God has worked in each of our lives. God is always working and loving and forgiving and sometimes we just need to sit back and share how God has moved in our lives and give Him all the glory!
I'm so excited about my new team and family!
