I am 22 years old, and I just graduated from North Dakota State University. After switching my major five times I gladly ended with a degree in mathematics. With that said, I love math! I enjoy math and teaching so much that I was math tutor for three years and I will be teaching intermediate algebra this fall at NDSU for a second year.
I grew up in Eden Prairie, MN living in the same house since I was three. I have been blessed with an amazing family! Growing up I could see that my parents loved God and loved our family more than anything. I have two older sisters who are some of my best friends. A lot of my favorite memories involve us doing something ridiculous. Everyone in my family has a great sense of humor, needless to say, our family dinners are always entertaining. I couldn’t imagine my life without their help and support!

Throughout my college years, I have been very involved in Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). Through this organization I have learned a ton about the Holy Spirit and about sharing my faith. Two summers ago I went on a Summer Project to North Myrtle Beach, SC with CRU. While there I learned so much about who I am in God’s eyes and I realized how many lies Satan was telling me that I needed to get rid of.

This past summer I worked at Covenant Pines Bible Camp on the Maintenance staff. Needless to say, this was an adventure! I did everything from cleaning bathrooms and doing dishes to cutting down trees and splitting logs. Let me just say, I have never had that many bruises! I learned a lot about service and working for God, not for other people. One week I also got the opportunity to be a counselor for seven wonderful junior high girls!

I don’t think I will ever have a favorite book of the bible. I usually just love the one I am reading.
I would wear overalls and sundresses everyday if the weather would allow it.
I think life needs background music.
I love playing guitar.
I really like prime numbers.
I dye my hair often (it’s currently dark brown).
I think midnight movies are one of the best forms of entertainment.
I enjoy knitting.
I am very honest (which can be good or bad).
Christian music festivals are always a blast.
My favorite animal is a kiwi (bird from New Zealand).
Hockey, football, and basketball are my favorite sports to watch (in that order).
I am a list person.
I can beat almost anyone at a real indoor game of badminton.
My water bottle comes with me absolutely everywhere.
I would eat a candycane everyday if they were sold year round.
I have no idea what God has in store for my life, but I am excited for whatever awesome plans He has!
