Dad

Dad,

For a man of few words you sure have a daughter who likes them. But I will try to keep this short and simple for you. 

Thanks for raising me & Nicki from day 1 with so much love and care.

I’d say we have always made great travel buddies. (Let’s face it we are more low maintenance travelers than mom and Nicki).

 Growing up I never had to worry that my needs would be met. You have always provided for our family. But not just in material ways. You provided something much more, protection for our fragile hearts. The approval that only a father can give to a little girl to make her feel like a princess. 

 You provided the laughter, hugs, and silliness that every child craves. You have always been willing to reach out and give me your hand to hold.

 Thanks for all of the adventures you have taken me on…trips to the hardware store to be your project helper, visits to work with you,  Florida, Door County, Packer games, snowmobiling, Cedar Lake, Mexico, Haiti, and so many more. I always have a great time by your side.

 Thanks for always sacrificing your time for the ladies in your life. I can’t imagine it’s always easy being outnumbered by us crazy emotional women. (aka me, Nicki, and mom) But you are our rock and make us feel so safe and protected.

Dad, you truly have a heart of gold. You are so strong and powerful yet so humble and gentle.

 You are extremelly wise dad. When you speak people listen. You are extravagent, generous, and have shown with your actions that you would do anything for the people in your life. Thank you for standing calmly by my side until the storms passed. Your character is dependable and steadfast.

 You are an example of a man of such high integrity dad, an example to so many. You learned from the best.

 Dad, you are so many things: a handy man when something breaks, master griller, hunter/fisherman, outdoorsman, organizer, teacher, leader, provider, but my favorite is that you are my dad. You have exemplified so well a glimpse of what our Heavenly Fathers affection for us looks like. Thanks for supporting my wild dreams and giving unconditional love.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!! I hope you get a big steak and a great nap today. Sending so much love from Albania. Sure do miss you.
