Through the whole process for signing up for The World Race, and the process of getting ready, I have had an amazing amount of support! Everyone around me has been so encouraging. I have felt that God has been blessing every step along the way. I spent a lot of time in prayer before applying for applying for The World Race. I asked God if this is what He really wanted me to do or if it was in my own desire to go on the world race. I truly feel that this is where God wants me to be!
Like I said before I feel that God has blesses every step of this! From telling my family and friends to raising support! At first I was scared of what people would say! For a while I only told a few people, making sure that no one could squash what had become my dream! That never happened! Everyone I have told about my trip has been very supportive! And I know from talking to my Z Squad family that it is not like that for all of us! I am so grateful that God has blessed me with such an amazing support system!
I am also grateful for my new family that God has given me! My Z Squad family! There is noting better when you are stressed and nervous to talk to someone that know exactly what you are going through. There is also nothing better than sharing your excitement with those people! I am so grateful for how quick I have been able to bond with my new family!
God never stops surprising me! I have gone on a few other missions trips, but never have I gotten this amount of support from my non believing friends! It is so uplifting that my non-Christian friends see my heart for this mission and are so willing to help support me! They are so excited to help me reach the lost and hungry! I am so grateful to have a God that surprises me!
Well it is no surprise that I am fearful of my upcoming financial deadline! It was only a few weeks ago that I got accepted and to hear that I need to raise $3,500 so fast is scary! (I am almost halfway there!!!) Seeing the final number is also scary, $16,250 is a lot of money! I can get discouraged but then I remember I have a God that surprises me!
