Hello people,
So….my friend pointed out this morning that I haven’t posted on my blog in A MONTH (thanks Will)!!!!!! So here is a new post.
FIRST: My first financial goal was on Friday Sept.25, and I had to raise $3,900…aaaannnnndddddd….
I REACHED IT!!!!
My next goal is $6,000 by December 18th.
Now for an update on just me and this journey and what God is doing and working thru my life.
My parents are moving, and some people are like “big deal”, but to me it is, I moved back in with my parents after I was ‘kicked out’ of college 4 years ago. I have been building a relationship with them that is more than parent child, but my parents are my best friends. I have grown SO MUCH as a person since I moved back home. They have dealt with my ups, downs, deep downs, WAYYYY downs, and ups again, and have shown me love, grace, discipline, and also what having a relationship with Christ looks like. They have showed me the way and now I’ve gotten to a point in my life where its time for me to go off on my own again, its a scary territory and I’m trying to be brave and confident in everything that is going on around me. I’m sad to see them go but with God putting this huge change in my life he’s teaching me and showing me how happy they are about being with the people they love and being very happy by moving back to MI. They will miss me like crazy and also everyone that we have made relationships with here but, they are ready to go back home to MI.
If you do not know my plan is to stay here in GA when I get back from my trip. They say your home is where your heart is, and mine is here in GA. I say this is my plan, but honestly I have no idea what God is going to change in my life or over the next year to see where I end up.
I’m leave for training camp in 17 days!!! I will be gone Oct 15th-25th, and I will be having the experience of a lifetime. I get to finally meet my squad and I have a feeling that I will be spiritually wrecked (in a good way). I still need to get some gear before I leave for camp, I had my shower today and got some awesome stuff and there is still a few things that I NEED before camp in 2 weeks so I plan on going to REI this weekend because they are having a garage sale and I need to purchase a lot of stuff 😉 VERY EXCITED!!!!
In my everyday life I would like to think I try and see in my life a major focus or goal to work on to better my relationship with God. Lately my “big thing” has been Pray Big, Pray Bold! I have been working on praying to God not just with my head but fully with my heart, and I have had to trust in God that he HAS called me to do this trip and he WILL provide. It was last minute on the last goal, on the due date the final funds came in and I was SO SHOCKED! I was smiling all day knowing that he had provided yet again in my life.
Now, I only ask that you the reader do the same, Pray Big and Pray Bold. Pray for me and my family in our time of transitions. Pray for training camp and my squad mates, that God works miraculous changes in us and just molds our hearts to what his mission is. And pray for my funding and my gear, I have a lot to raise in a few months, and I also have to big gear items I have to purchase with my own money and that I have to budget for and not a lot of time between now and camp to start saving.
I will be posting another vlog soon, with some footage from my shower, and some other stuff. Thank you all AGAIN for the love and support as always!
