Today we are heading into San Jose and then tonight we are getting on a bus that we have rented out for the whole squad to travel to Nicaragua for debrief and begin month 2 of the race.
Month one complete and I’m still processing my life, I cannot believe we have one month done already and now we have 10 to go. This time went by so fast and the next 10 months don’t really feel like that long away.
Last night we had our last night with the church and the community that we are working in. It was bittersweet, we are looking forward to the next journey but have loved every minute that we were here in Rio Azul. Last night I got to share my testimony with the church and it went really well, I love sharing my testimony because I feel like God gave me a crazy long story so that I can share with others and hopefully impact someone else’s life that might be going through the same things that I went through. After some of us shared Pastor Gillbert called the entire team up to have the church pray for us and our journey and I just cried. I’m sad to be leaving such a wonderful community and an AMAZING group of people who have been the greatest blessing for my first month.
I hated saying goodbye but I know that God will continue to do amazing things in Rio Azul. I know that he is working on something there and in those people. It wont happen over night but God is slowly moving in that community and in the lives there.
Below is a little video I made from our say off to the beach and then it also includes some footage of us working at our ministry site but also having fun.
P.S. I have decided along with some of my teammates that starting tomorrow for the whole month in Nicaragua I will be doing a social media cleanse/ taking a Sabbath from social media. I will post my blog to my facebook but I can do that from my blog without going on facebook. So if you need to contact me, You can via email and skype or my blog.
