Real Title: Month 9- Moldova

So, to begin this whole thing I would like to fill you in on some information I forgot…

1. We had another route change!! Very minor and no one was really surprised by it but still, it’s a change. Our final 3 months were supposed to be Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania now it has changed to Moldova, Romania, Albania. Very minor.

2. We had team changes this past month! So as always, here is a visual for you ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my new/now a month old team, Eternally Altared. No, I didn’t misspell our name. It’s spelled Altared because it has a double meaning. When you say it is sounds like you’re saying we’re forever changed but when you read it it’s more of a representation of our lives being eternally on a sacrificial altar for the Lord.

Mt teammates are: (top row L to R) Cara, Jill, Celena, Leah

(bottom row L to R) Me, Kasey, Lindy (team leader)

3. I know the date of when I will officially land in the US! July 31st I will be back for good (or at least the time being).

I think that’s all the information I’ve withheld from you all, so you’re welcome.

Now about Moldova, this was for sure in my top 5 months on the race. During the month we were working with a Pentecostal church with an English/Moldovan missionary family. We mostly worked with kids from the community through an after school program the church provides, but we also  had the opportunity to begin some manual work (mostly preparing land to be a garden) in a near by town where they also have a church they are assisting.

Also, if you are friends with me on Facebook, some of you may have noticed pictures of me in America. My oldest sister got married this past month and I was able to leave the field for about a week including travel days to attend the wedding. It was great to be able to see my family again even though it was fairly exhausting and slightly crazy. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was sad to leave the kids we worked with, the church members I knew, and our contacts but am grateful for the time we did have.

This month (currently) we are in Romania. It’s hard to believe this is our second to last month on the field. Just when you think this is how life will be forever, it suddenly ends. We are working with a ministry called RESO Ministries in Draganesti-Olt Romania. This is their website if you’d like to look into it more for yourself: http://resoministries.weebly.com/projects.html

My team and I are on the random jobs for the month, this will include evangelizing, gardening/misc. clean up, kids club, prayer walking and really who knows what else. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m exited for this month to really begin and to see what God has in store for my team and I for the short duration of our last 2 months.

More details to come as the month carries on!
