15. I would love to end up doing missions full-time, but who knows where God'll take me. Not my will π Thank goodness.
16. I love Arrested Development and The Office.
17. Annnd we're stuck again so I guess there's only 15 things about me. Easy to learn at least π
But most of all….
I'm super excited and nervous about going out on the field for a year. My hope is to grow in my relationship with God, to learn more about what's really going on in our world, to see what day to day ministry looks like in every day life, and to see different ways of essentially accomplishing the same goal in ministry. π
I can't wait to get to know all the people on my squad and grow together over our 11 months on the field. I know God has some pretty great things down the road for us!
Also, I realize that not all of you who see this know me or what I'm doing with this whole World Race thing. So, I'll tell you π
The World Race is an 11 month missions trip that takes you to 11 different countries, allowing you to see and experience a wide part of the world while serving the Lord through partnering with different ministries and pastors in each country. The 11 countries I will be going to are Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, Swaziland, Malawi, Mozambique, India, Nepal, Ukraine, and Romania.
While in each country we won't have a set schedule of what we will be doing, but instead our goal is to meet our hosts needs in that moment with a willingness to do whatever they might need us to do. This might look like working in a school, hosting a VBS (Vacation Bible School), painting a house, other maintenance around our ministry site, door-to-door ministry, or prayer walks.
I, and Adventures In Missions, believe very strongly in the voice of the Lord and that fact that He is very actively speaking into and guiding our lives. Our goal is to be open to the voice and calling of the Lord during our daily lives and during our 11 months on the field, no matter how far it stretches us. Learning to trust and obey the Lord and give control over to Him knowing that what He has for us is better than what we can make for ourselves.
I hope this gives you a better idea of what this is all about and who I am. If not, keep your eyes open for more posts on here as I embark on this journey. Or call me π
