Jennifer Fayellen Dannelley, 27, died today.  She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on May 24th, 1985 to Grady and Jolene Cole.  She accepted Christ on January, 13, 1999.  She graduated from Muskogee High School and received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy.  She was married to Jay Allen Dannelley on July 24th, 2011.  They lived in Eagle River, Alaska before relocating to the nations in 2013.

She chose Jesus because Jesus chose her.  She chose more of Him and less of her.  She knew that even if there had been no one else on earth, Jesus would have died for her alone.  She realized it was enough that Jesus died for her 2000+ years ago.  It was enough that the flesh of her Savior was ripped from His body for her.  It was enough that nails were driven through His hands and feet, that His side was pierced, that He hung naked and that He died for her.  He paid enough; He paid it all.

So today, she died to her flesh once and for all.  She chose surrender.  She chose to uproot the dead flesh so that new life could take root and flourish.  She chose the death sentence for everything that had once been hers.

She died to herself.

She died to the fears, insecurities and lies of the Enemy.

She died to her anger and frustration that she’s held onto since childhood.

She died to her sins and her dirty, little secrets.

She died to the shame and guilt that she had once harbored.

She died to her pride and self-reliance.

She died to her own strength and independence.

She died to her rights, privileges and sense of entitlement.

She died to her dreams and desires.

She died to her opinions and her right to be right.

She died to having the last word.

She died to being offendable.

She died to her family and friends.

She died to her status.

She died to her resources of time, money and energy.

She died to being a pharmacist and being a missionary.

She died to her choices and preferences.

She died to herself.

In so doing, she awakened her soul to the Spirit of God.  She embraced dwelling in His presence and abiding in His love.  Now, she is sold out, recklessly abandoned, completely undone, dramatically redeemed, living resurrected, fully worthy, deeply loved, known in Heaven, indescribably beautiful, immeasurably valued, authoritatively empowered,  wholly forgiven and entirely free.

She is preceded in death by such a great cloud of witnesses and is diving head first into an ocean of grace, truth and mercy.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
