We have traveled to so many new places but The World Race is not the end of our adventure, nor was it the beginning.

We will land stateside on December 6th at 2pm in Chicago!  We are blessed to stay a few days with our dear friends, Brittany & Chris, before heading on to Oklahoma and Texas on December 9th.

We will continue exploring new places as we move to Gainesville, Georgia in January 2014.  Plans aren’t solidified yet, but we may be  moving as early as January 3rd-8th when we will be in Gainesville for Project Searchlight, a post-Race event for our squad.

Back at our Month 1 Debrief, the Lord began speaking to us individually about squad leading in the future.  You can read more about that here.  In preparation for that season and future seasons of ministry, Jay will be attending the Center for Global Action.  It is a program based on discipleship, apprenticeship and community that is a part of Adventures in Missions (AIM.)  Jay will be a participant of the Field Leadership track that ensures AIM sends out well-equipped, healthy individuals to lead future teams and squads.  It will be a blessing for both of us to get a better understanding of the parent organization of The World Race and become more connected with the AIM community.  The program is four months long and will culminate at World Race Training Camp in May.

During this time, Jenn will be diving back into the world of pharmacy where she can continue utilizing her passion for helping others by fulfilling their tangible needs.  She is currently waiting for pharmacist licensure in Georgia and does not have a specific plan yet.  We’re praying God leads us through open doors.

We’re excited for this new season but as with every transition, it is bittersweet.  We are sad that it means shorter time spent with family and friends following our Race and that it pushes our visit home (ALASKA) back until June.

Thank you for your continued love and prayers through the end of our journey and into the next!  We are BLESSED beyond words by every single person who encourages and supports us.

We are so blessed, in fact, that Jay doesn’t even need to fundraise for this venture.  The $600 per month that Jay needs for programs and living at CGA is already in our account.  Our supporters have given out of generous and obedient hearts above and beyond the $31,000 that we needed to raise for the World Race.  Remember that time that $31,000 seemed daunting?  God is faithful and YOU are obedient.  Thank you!
