This month our team is working with Pastor Joseph.  This man has a fire inside of him to change Uganda.  He is a visionary and his love for God shines in everything he does. He has been the pastor at Christ Ambassadors Church for over 10 years, leading his community to Christ through love and kindness.  Currently he, and his wife Frida, have taken in 6 children into their own home, but his love doesn't stop there.  He is also a father to the 384 children who attend the school he founded 5 years ago.  Each one he knows by name, each one he cares for, each one calls him Daddy.  He truly is a father to the fatherless.

The school, Champions Christian School, is currently in the process of building a library (they still need $5,000 of their $25,000 goal) and our team is helping at the work site several times a week.  Every morning we get to see progress on the foundation.  While we are here, we have also helped with building a dormitory for some of the orphaned children to live in while they attend school.  Needless to say, God is using Pastor Joseph in big ways here in Uganda.

Pastor Joseph’s heart is aligned with God's. When we arrived he told us his future vision for the school.  He wants it to be self-sustaining.  Behind the school there is a garden full of fruits and veggies that they can sell.  Then he told us that one day he wants to have cows and chickens to provide food for the children, jobs for adults and income for the school.  If they owned one cow they could breed it over the years and multiply the livestock.  His dream for the chickens is the same, to multiply them. He desires for the children to have nutritious food by providing milk in their porridge and 3 eggs per child per week.  They already have so many programs in place and this would just be the next step in what God is doing here.  We love that this man wants to be self-sustaining and to be able to provide for these children for years to come.

While we are here we are going to help make it happen.  Our team is currently fundraising for this dream to come true.

1 Cow= $600

1 Chicken= 3,000 shillings (roughly $1.17) x 1,200 chickens

Total needed= $2,000

We have 14 Racers fundraising, that’s only round $143 each…but we’re married so our goal is $286.  We ONLY have 10 days and are already well on our way to our goal!  If you want to donate you can send checks to
