I’m sure the security people at the airport thought I was nutty as I cried my way through security after saying goodbye to my mom and sister this morning.
But once I arrived in Minneapolis for my connecting flight I ran into one of my squad mates right away, and another arrived shortly after, and I was reminded that yeah, this is going to be okay.
And then I arrived in DC and was reunited with my fabulous, fantastic, fierce F squad, and it felt like home.
I’m so excited to be here in DC with my squad, taking a couple of more days to prepare for this huge adventure.
We leave for India on Thursday night!!!
Thanks to everyone who has been praying for me over the past year, and for all of the people who have given to make this a reality! You mean more to me than I could possibly say!
Starting tomorrow, we’re doing a screen fast for a couple of days, so if you don’t hear from me for awhile, know that I’m safe, happy, and so excited for the year ahead!
