Hi Everyone!!! Welcome to my blog!

My name is (Jen) Jeniffer. I am 29 years young and currently live in sunny Boca Raton, Florida. I’m an elementary school teacher and have been teaching for about 6 years. I have been teaching 2nd grade for the past 4 years and love it!

I was born and raised in Florida, my family is from Colombia, I was the first to be born in the U.S.. I have a younger brother (were actually 10 yrs. apart but you would never know), and I’m a mother to a very cute little Yorke named Louie. My family and I have a great relationship; their is a never dull moment when were together.

Some random things about me include: I’m a huge movie buff! I enjoy cooking! Shazam is one of my favorite apps I am always looking for new music to add to my very extensive collection haha. I love hugs and deep conversations make me happy. Being out in nature is my happy place (along with my trusty travel hammock)! I could survive on coffee alone but tea comes very close. My favorite part of my job is watching the growth my students make throughout the year and even after. I not only teach them but they teach me so much more! Its a daily reminder of Christ love and how He is the teacher and I’m the student constantly making mistakes, learning, and growing. While, He is constant in showing so much grace, mercy, and patientce. Its pretty awsome! I think someday I would make a good leader, but right now I am content at Jesus’ feet and I want to keep learning everything I can and give Him all the glory always. For fun I like spending as much time with friends, family, but also taking some time and having some time to myself (napping) and snuggling with my dog Louie. Going to the beach, biking, reading, playing vollyball, and working out (sort of haha its a work in progress).

I heard about the World Race while on a missions trip from a friend of mine when the Lord started stirring my heart for missions. When first hearing about it not to long ago I thought I would never have the courage to do something like it. I was wrong!

My journey began in 2013, I was part of a discipleship training program for 4 months that changed my life! Its where I got my first taste of missions. Coming out of the program I new that missions would be apart of my life but I was not sure when, where, and what it would look like. Fast forward to 2018-2019 the Lord has been faithful in preparing me, providing a way for me to go on more than one short term mission trip, exposing me to the world and His people and the desperation of love and truth to be poured out! That’s when the World Race came up again in my life. I had 2 friends, that within this time went and came back and told me their experience. The thought of the World Race not being an option changed and began being a serious possibility.

In August I started my application process with the World Race. Now I am getting ready to leave and the excitement and the reality of it is building!

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
