Hi! I’m Jenay Leese.

I was born and grew up in Thousand Oaks, California.

My schooling experience was atypical – I was home schooled and also did independent study and started dual enrollment college classes during my freshman year of high school. Homeschooling enabled me to travel with my family, to build a good relationship with my older brother, to have time to volunteer and do extracurricular activities, and to live life with all age groups.

I’m devoted to going on the race and the process before, during and after. I’m committed to what God has planned for me, His will and His ways and am looking forward to engaging with others all over the world and sharing the love of Christ in practical and personal ways.

Ten things you may want to know about me!

1. I’m passionate about serving; I’ve been volunteering since I was little.

2. I value others’ hard work and commitment and people with strong values are important to me.

3. I love making new friends! I deeply value friendship and getting to know people.

4. I love crafts and am super crafty. I am always doing DIY projects from embroidery, to painted denim jackets.

5. I love to cook! I enjoy modifying recipes and making new creations (and trying not to burn anything!).

6. In my free time, I hang out with my friends; we talk, make silly videos, and live life together.

7. I love animals (except spiders!). I have 2 golden retriever dogs who I love will all my heart. My parents actually got me chickens before they got me dogs.

8. I love going to the beach. I’m a Southern California girl through and through, and I grew up body surfing in the waves and scoring for tiny sea shells.

9. One of my favorite hobbies is Special Effects Makeup. I enjoy playing with makeup and face paints (also the reaction I get from friends when I show them the finished look!).

10. One verse that I have been praying over for the race is Acts 20:24, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

Now you know a few things about me! Thank you so much for reading, and I look forward to keep updating this blog and I hope you follow along. 🙂
