I am a woman of many, many words yet as I sit here to write a blog about Training camp I am at a loss for words. How can I sum up this experience into a blog? For those future racers who are curious as to what Training camp is like, know this.
You will be challenged.
You will be exhausted.
You will see God like you never have before.
You will love people that you never imagined you would.
You will NOT know a schedule and you'll be okay with it.
You will be stretched out of your comfort zone.
I left little ole' Hickman, KY on Friday and set out for my trip to Training Camp. I was nervous that I didn't have the right things packed, I was nervous my squad wouldn't like me, I was nervous that I would get there and be completely uncomfortable. Well, my squad is my new family and we love each other so much. We are completely unified and it's crazy how much we fit together. My pack had everything I needed in it and I still have room to spare. Lastly, I was completely uncomfortable a lot and for that I am so so thankful. Through my times of being uncomfortable this past week is when God truly did His work and stepped in.
I saw God reveal himself to me and work in ways I have never seen before. If you have God in a box, guess what? HE IS SO MUCH BIGGER THAN THAT! I learned things about myself that I never even knew was possible. I cried, I laughed, I danced, I was okay with body odor and un brushed teeth, I raised my hands in Worship and locked myself in moments with God and tuned out the world. I sat in my room last night and was trying to process this journey and I kept saying to myself over and over…Did you know that:
I AM WORTHY
I AM A DAUGHTER
I AM DELIGHTED IN
I AM SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN
I AM ON THIS JOURNEY FOR HIS PURPOSE
I AM A STORYTELLER AND MY STORY MATTERS
Future Racers, I am sorry that this is another vague blog about Training Camp, it truly is for the best. The AIM staff are rock stars at keeping secrets and AIM and God will rock your world throughout your training camp week. They are in tune with God and they pray over us racers more than anyone in our lives ever have. Trust us and trust me when I say go in with NO expectations.
Supporters, Family, Friends, God has put me on this squad and journey for a reason. I am asking you to pray with me and for me for my next 11 months that God will do his work through me. I ask that you go on this journey with me through prayers, financial support, and following my blog.
GOD, please do ANYTHING you need to do in me so that you may do EVERYTHING you want to do through me.
