This is the second part to my series. I have been praying into sharing my testimony and my dreams/goals for the future. The more I prayed into this the more I kept thinking how all of that goes hand in hand. What I am striving to be, where God has me right now, and my past that has shaped me. I began with my future and I’m moving into who I am now.

When I decided to share this blog series I had been praying into it for a while. I knew it would be easy for me to share my future dreams, because I am a dreamer and that is my favorite past time. I knew it would also be easy to share my testimony because that is what God has done in me. This part right here, who I am right now is hard. I can give you a grocery list of things He is doing in me but to actually write them down is harder for me. When I started praying into this particular blog and flipping through my journal, Bible verse are what popped out to me. It all clicked, it is through His word that I am finding my truest self. Some of these verse have came from Lysa TerKeust daily Bible verses, specific things teammates have given me, sermons I have heard, and from just things that have changed my heart when digging in myself. In these verses I have changed the word “you” to “I” and sometimes I just put my name instead of you or I.
Everyday I wake up with a choice, I can choose to dig deeper into Him and be changed by His word. I can choose to allow Him to make my identity fully in Him, or I can choose to say no. I can sit in my flesh and never live up to what He has for me. Throughout this race I have been transformed by His word and His love me.
For you are my handiwork, JENA BEA HANEY, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which I prepared in advance for you to do.

My peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus, JENA BEA HANEY.

2 Corinthians 5:17
“I am the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “I am the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way I will let my light shine before others, so that they may see my good works and give glory to my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16
Salt does not get applauded, and light does not receive glory. I am the salt of the earth, the light of the earth. It is not my purpose on this earth to get applauded or receive glory. I am here to make sure what I do brings HIM glory. So many times I cry out to Him to bring peace to troubled countries, provide food for the hungry, send parents to the orphans. I pray for Him to provide a home for foster children, strength for a beaten down single parent. I am calling on Him to fix the world. Hey ME salt and light, hey YOU salt and light go into all the world, even your own town and help these people. He is with us and giving us strength, we need to use that strength, I need to use that strength.
For I was made in His image.
Genesis 1:27
He choose me when He planned creation.
Ephesians 1:11-12
I was not a mistake, for all my days are written in His book.
Psalm 139:15-16
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139: 14
It is His desire to lavish His love on me, simply because I am His child and He is my Father.
1 John 3:1
Because He loves me with an everlasting love.
Jeremiah 31:3
And He rejoices over me with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17
I am His treasured possession.
Exodus 19:5
He is my Father, and He loves me even as He loves His son, Jesus.
John 17:23
Love is such a constant theme throughout the Bible. They way the Bible shows us to love has completely altered my whole life. I am not called to change anyone, I am called to love them just like He loves us. Even on the days I feel distant from the world I am called to love every person God puts in my path because He is in me, and I am being the hands and feet that He has chosen to use.
I am a forgiven child of God.
Romans 3:24
I am a set-free child of God.
Romans 8:1-2
I am a made-new child of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17
I am a loved child of God.
Ephesians 1:4
I AM A CHILD OF GOD.
Ephesians 2:13
I am a confident child of God.
Ephesians 3:12
I am a victorious child of God.
Romans 8:37
He choose me, He choose you. He handpicked all of us and He set aside a life for us that can be used to bring so much glory to His kingdom. He has promised me an eternal life with Him once I leave this earth, and the only thing I have to give back to Him is my heart, my soul, and all my glory. I have to just love Him more than I could possibly ever love anything else. How beautiful is that?! How wonderful is that promise?!
He has covered me with His feathers, and under His wings I shall take refuge.
Psalm 91.4
“Fear not, little flock, for it is our Father’s pleasure to give us the kingdom.
Luke 12:32
I should clothe myself instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
1 Peter 3:4
So, as I set down and prayed about how to write out who I am right now, I was lead to all these verses. I am loved, I am called daughter, I am chosen, I am precious, I am covered, I am His, i am an instrument in His divine plan…I am lost without Him. This is who God has shaped me to be and who He is still working on. I will never reach that perfect point till I am with Him in Heaven, I am okay with that. I love that I am always reaching for Him to shape me even more. The most beautiful thing about all of these things I have learned and all the verses I wrote, it is written that way for all of us. Each of us can insert I were He writes you, each of us can add our name in the verses I wrote my name in, because He wants all of us to experience Him in these intimate ways.
The last verse is the most important to me. It is the verse I want everyone around the world to be able to read and almost cry because they know how true and real it is. It is the last verse in the blog and the ending because it is the verse that sums up everything I have learned.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
Isaiah 43:1
