The past 4 months have been a roller coaster of emotions. Time has felt like it stood still and also zoomed so fast all in the same minute. I laughed a lot, cried a lot, and learned way more than I expected. I am in month 5 and completely blown away with all that has already happened. A lot of lessons you learn on the field come from who you live with. They teach you how to love better, listen better, and how to live up to the potential God had given you. Your squad becomes your family but your team becomes your biggest fans.
For the first 4 months I was a member of BBH which stands for Beautifully Broken to Heal, we went by a ton of other names but this was the true meaning. When we choose that name we had no idea how that would set the stage for what God was about to do in us and through us. I can’t speak for those girls but I can tell you how they took my beautifully broken insides and helped me heal. They loved me through bad moods and encouraged me when I felt like I didn’t have a voice. They prayed for my dad that he would come to know Christ and they asked me about important people and things in my life. They made my interest their interest and they loved me enough to call me up when I wasn’t letting my actions reflect Christ. They showed me love and honesty and showed me how to extend grace because they extended it to me. In those 4 months I learned to not talk so much and let others have the stage, I built a relationship with my dad like we have never had before, and I forgave the people that had hurt me. I learned how to voice my testimony with confidence that Christ has been with me every step of the way. I preached my first sermon because they believed in me and encouraged me. I spent the last 4 months with five other girls who even though at times we weren’t on the same page we became a family.
Aly Toefol, Ariane Torres, Aimee Labelle, Christa Albright, and Sarette Stankhe are some of my biggest fans as I am for them. I learned things from each of these women that I will carry with me after the race. BBH was a great place for me to start out on this race.

The day team changes happened I let my sisters go without crying because I know whatever team we are on we are friends and we are cheering for each other.
When I let them go I gained a new team and I am so excited to announce I will be spending the next 7 months with these girls. I screamed when I found out our new team because they are amazing women of God and I know God is about to rock my world with what I am going to learn from them.
Our first outing as a team we sat down at the table in a public place and bowed our heads to pray. We are in a closed country and quickly realized we should stop. We decided in that moment out team name should be Rebellious Love. We are a team that is already so full of love for each other but most importantly for our Father that we aren’t afraid to show it.
I am ready to grow closer to Christ with them and love hard with them. I am ready to conquer the next 7 months with everything we have. God has taught all of us things about ourselves from our previous teams and He put us together so that through those things we can glorify Him in ways we never imagined.
Oh, I guess I should introduce my sisters… Our new team leader is Candace Robins. Our team is Hanna Reeves, Kaitlin Backensto, Jenna Edhe, and are you ready for this…I am still getting to serve with Ariane Torres and Christa Albright. Yay!!!!

Our new team is a mixture of BBH and X Joy. We are walking away from those teams with beautiful identities of Christ in those names. We are the perfect mix together and I am ready for us to shine as Rebellious Love
