Well Hello.
My name is Jena but I am from the beautiful state of Kentucky where people think its cute to have a double name so, most people know me as Jena Bea or JB. I am 23 years young and I still haven't reached the stage in life where it is to cool to play barbies and dress up or try to win an imaginary big league baseball game in the backyard. I am from the VERY small town of Hickman, Kentucky, if you would like to know anything about my town most country music songs can cover it. There are no stop lights, everyone knows everyone, we DO NOT have a wal mart, and if you go in the grocery store for milk you will be in there 15 minutes longer than expected because you have stopped and talked so many times. I have a younger brother and younger sister who have outgrown their little 5'3" older sister.
I graduated high school in 2008 as a Fulton County Pilot. After much transiton and trying to figure out the meaning of life I went from college to Paul Mitchell the School Nashville and graduated from there as a Cosmetologist.
My whole life I have wanted to make people feel beautiful on the inside and outside. My favorite line to say is, "I just want to love them." I love to love! I have been drawn to missions for as long as I can remember, I have always had a heart for Africa especially Uganda. I went to the Dominican Republic back in October 2012 and worked with two amazing places there and left a huge chunk of my heart with each person and sweet little kid I met there. People tell me I have a gift with children, I just think its because sometimes I am on the same level as them.
My family is a little bit differnet than most other peoples…I have two huge familys on both my mom's and my dad's side. My intermediate family is made up a little different than other peoples. My best friend and her family took me in and I am one of them. They are so supportive and such Godly influences in my life. I am thankful for them everyday. I have been blessed with how many have supported this decison in my life to follow God's plan both family and friends.
I am excited that the World Race is the next step God has laid out for my life. I am also excited that I get to share it with the world and everyone who reads my blog.
