I know you are all probably wondering what has happened to me these past few months.
Have I fallen off the face of the earth? Well… no…
but I have failed greatly at keeping you up to date with this journey I’m on and I sincerely apologize for not writing sooner.
To be completely honest with you… writing blogs stresses me out. Let me clarify a little. Writing heartfelt, emotional blogs in a timely manner to reach the communities back home makes me stressed. I would often find myself behind my computer screen trying to capture moments through writing or video projects instead of experiencing life in front of me. It became more of a homework assignment for me than an outlet for God to use in reaching others, which is the original purpose for this blog site. I want you to know that this stress was not at all put on me by any of you or The World Race, but by my own self.
So I decided to stop stressing and experience this journey to it’s fullest. I have tons of stories (believe me I will tell them when the time is right) but for now I want to at least fill you in on where I’ve been and what ministries I have been working with these past 5 months. I love you all and I know I wouldn’t be able to do this journey without you.
Cambodia
My team, Dub-unit (Dub=W for Women, Unit= United), lived in a small village in the providence of Kampong Cham teaching English with a small family involved with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Our days were very relaxed. We got up early to eat breakfast with the family and have Bible study with the team, taught our English classes throughout the afternoon, and finished our day with team time after dinner. Each of us taught one class a day and they lasted only an hour. The rest of the time we spent exploring the village, sharing stories with each other, and ministering to the family we were with.
Being away from hectic city life was AMAZING. I realized how much I love getting away and serving in remote places.
These are the people who aren’t getting reached.
These are the people my heart yearns to love on.

My month in Cambodia was a time to dig deeper with the Lord and with my team. I learned to trust in Him in ways I never thought I could. I opened up to new members on my team with courage and boldness. My team swarmed around me in the hard times and we supported each other like a family. My class of little ones brought joy to my afternoons and I always looked forward to hearing them pronounce, “Miss Jen”, in their adorable accents. I will never forget their smiling faces! Here are some of my favorite pics from this month!
