GOD HAS PROVIDED!

Thank you for being part of this! Thank you for what you gave. Your contribution means literally beyond the world to me, as cliché as that may sound. Words cannot express enough how thankful I am. And how full my heart was after every donation came through. It was you reaching out and saying yes, I do believe in you, I want to help, here’s what I have.

Before I launched, I was still nearly $7,000 away at one point and it looked pretty impossible  I knew God would come through somehow though I had no idea how and I was afraid. But I kept giving it back to God and asking for his help.

So now, since God is always faithful, we get to celebrate!

I will share some highlights of how people gave and what it meant to me. Every person who donated towards my Race showed love in a powerful way and my spirits soared with joy and thankfulness- every gift was a celebration and every person I thanked God for!

Some people gave who had been friends for years and some who I had met in the past year or last couple of months. Some gave who didn’t know me. Some gave anonymously.

What an amazing feeling of gratitude would come when an anonymous donation came through! I had no one to thank but God who gave me the gift! I prayed whoever it was that God would bless them and continue to provide out of His abundance.

When a friend gave to me, it meant so much because I knew it was from the heart and that they loved me and believed in me. That they supported me fully!

When a family member gave, I would almost cry happy tears of gratitude  (and probably did at least once) because I knew their love for me caused them to give and that they gave so generously and sacrificed what they had and needed for me. That they are there for me no matter what. Love is powerful stuff!

When someone gave that I didn’t yet know, I was thrilled and it was like an angel from heaven was blessing me in an incredible way. It was a powerful reminder of God’s providence and blessings to me in a personal way.

When someone I didn’t know emailed me days before the Race, telling me they wanted to help me go on the Race, I was floored. It was amazing how this family, who didn’t know me, was trusting in God and showing support to me in such a huge way! For the full story, (it’s a really good one) of what happened, read here.

From my mom posting online and showing support by helping me fund-raise. To a former Racer’s mom donating a significant amount to allow me to go before launch and then so generously donating again to help me stay on the Race! All these times. I was in awe of God’s goodness and providence. How He said He would provide, and He absolutely did!

From coworkers donating to me; to new friends from other countries I’d met showing support by giving me gifts to help me to go on the Race. From a former babysitting client donating to church members allowing me to babysit or do a new cleaning project before the Race and donating towards allowing me to go.

From a former Racer giving me some of her gear to help for last minute needs and praying over me with her friends she had met on the Race before I launched; such a sweet thing to receive.

From my friends donating what they had to friends giving continued monthly support; even a friend who is a missionary herself, giving so generously and freely to bless me and support me and love me in huge way.

All of these and more, too many to mention here, but all seen, felt and so much appreciated. These were all miracles.  Acts of love and acts of incredible generosity.

This is what allows me to do the crucial life changing work every day. Whether in big ways or small, it is all crucial and impacts people long term. Since we partner with organizations and people already doing great work for people and showing them the love of Christ, the work we do has eternal impact.

Whether it’s a cup of coffee, glass of water, a school we taught at, helping the refugees, or a deep conversation we had with someone, it does leave lasting impact. It shows each person that they matter and that they are loved.

Thank you for knowing this and standing with me to show this love to people around the world everyday!

Another way to impact me is to donate to my personal expenses fund for other needs not covered: adventure days, and a plane ticket to get home after the Race from a major U.S. city. If you feel led to give, please donate to my Paypal account at [email protected]

Thank you!
