I sponsor several children through Compassion, International.
Let me tell you, it has been an incredible blessing to be able to do this!
God has provided the way even when I didn’t know where the funds would come from.
When I decided to sponsor these children, I felt a tugging on my heart to do so, in order to show them love and make a real difference in a child’s life, regardless of where they live or were born.
I made a commitment that I would not drop the commitments I made, even if and when it got hard to do so. I wanted to honor God in this and honor my commitments.
I need your help to keep these commitments now, as I cannot do this on my own!
For the time leading up to the Race, I will be highlighting each one of these children I sponsor- please share these posts and lift up these precious children in prayer. Please consider sponsoring one of them, helping me while I’m on the Race to help others and helping this one precious child in need on practically the other side of the world!
Be on the lookout for a more in depth post for each child and enjoy “meeting” them now in this introduction.
I will still write them letters, which is one of the sponsor commitments, or you may do so if you wish!

Josue is from Peru and is 6 years old. He likes cars. His birthday is October 14th. I just recently started sponsoring him, as he was on the urgent/critical need for a sponsor list and just tugged on my heart! I waited awhile to sponsor him, prayed about it, and made the decision to start sponsoring!
Aswini is 7 years old, from India. Her birthday is April 27th. She likes dolls and hide and seek. She is in 2nd grade. Love her!
Hawa is a precious daughter of the King and has grown so much since I started sponsoring her! She is 7 years old, from Tanzania and just melts my heart! Her birthday is July 28th.
Jenifer Eloisa is a precious little girl from Guatemala who is 10 years old and shares my birthday! She likes art and drawing and basketball!
Jenifer Yessenia is from the same center as Jenifer Eloisa! She is also 10 years old. She likes singing and music. When I came across Jenifer Eloisa, I also came across this other precious Jenifer, who also shared my name on the other side of the world, and in the very same center. It was almost like a package deal or like they were sisters, she stirred my heart too and I started sponsoring them both on the same day. So so precious! Please lift her up in prayer!
All of these children are precious in God’s eyes and in mine. I love them so much even though I never met them in real life. I have prayed for them, written and received letters and learned about their lives. They are on my heart. They are my spiritual children.
I receive so much from sponsoring them- they are a blessing to me and it is so sweet to receive their letters and I have been super encouraged more than once by something they unknowingly said in a letter that spoke to me personally on my journey.
Please do what you can for them- sponsor them, pray for them, share their story and this post with your friends or church!
