For the halfway mark of the World Race, I wanted to share highlights from what I learned in each month so far! Here we go!
Costa Rica- That I am called to the Race and called to missions in some way! God confirmed my calling to GO! I don’t know yet what this means or what God has for me in the future. He showed me I am part of community in Him, even through the struggles. He showed me my passion for prayer, for outreach, for going up to someone new and inviting them in and making them feel a part of things and making sure they know they are included.
Nicaragua- He showed me I am blessed and surrounded by family. He showed me I have a gifting to hear Him and share the words and lessons He’s put on my heart to share with others. When I shared with a woman in Nicaragua that God sees her and her name is written on His hands. I got to share this after God showed me the same thing in my own life and gave me the privilege of sharing this with someone else who needed to hear it.
Honduras- That I am a good teacher and I do make an impact on youth and children. They see my love for them and they love me too! God has things for me to teach them and He will continue to equip me.
Chile- This month was really hard at first, but I had a breakthrough towards the end of the month when I finally started to claim and walking in the freedom I had been envisioning for a long time. I had started to doubt my voice, my ability, my talent and my role in things. God spoke freedom and acceptance over me, which is a continued journey. In my search for adventure. God told me I am invited to the adventures He has for me every day if I say yes to Him.
Bolivia- Papa showed me His Father’s heart for me! That He always takes care of me. He makes me a part of His family. No matter where I go, He is with me. I belong to God and He is my home, my place of safety. I started walking out in my gifting and in more freedom than before. I created space for my team to just be in God’s presence, to sit before Him, to pray, and to listen. This stemmed from setting up a space to go to God first everyday, which was a practice that helped me so much that month (while surrounded by beautiful nature- mountains and jungle sunsets) to relearn my identity and security in God, the King and my Loving Father while working at an orphanage.
Bulgaria
God showed me His tender heart for His people here even before I arrived! He showed me how He sees them as His precious jewels, just as He sees me and you. There was a beautiful garden we got to enjoy and work in while we were here, where I would have many of my quiet times. He taught me how the garden is a place of quiet rest and hard work; reflection and learning. That I am healed from my past. That I have a valuable purpose in Him. That my wanderer’s heart is His and I belong to Him.
Just a glimpse of what I learned the first half of the Race!
Even more amazing things to come! Continue to walk the journey with me and please send a message or comment below about your journey too and what you have been learning or what I can pray for.
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey!
