Ever wonder if you are really making a difference? If your words or actions matter? If your efforts add up to something meaningful? Something with a purpose? Something that will really help someone else?
On your own, they don’t.
But with God, we can learn how even the simplest things can be a blessing and give true purpose to our lives. God can use your words to encourage someone else who really needs to see there is hope.
In the midst of our chaos, we can sometimes forget what our purpose is. We can easily forget our true identity in Christ.
Ever wonder if God is really there for you? If he hears? If he listens?
When I was searching for meaning in the middle of the storms, God spoke to my heart.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name. You are mine.”
Like waves in the ocean, a feeling a peace rushed over me. That doesn’t mean all the storms in my life have stopped. It means that God whispers to my heart, reminding me He is always right here with me. He is right there with you, He loves you and comforts you and takes you in His arms. He fills you up. He is always right by your side.

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
Remember that it can be the smallest thing that makes a huge difference. A smile. Praying for a friend. Praying with a friend. Sharing encouragement. Offering a helping hand. Doing what you are able to show your friends you care. It all is for a purpose. And makes a huge difference. Often, when we get that urge to reach out or say something to someone to encourage them, it can be very timely. It can be God putting it on our hearts to help each other.
This is how we can make a difference and speak and act out in love for each other. As a close friend and mentor said, if when we feel that tug, that urge in our heart to reach out and say something encouraging or to help someone, how would we respond differently if we believed that it came from God?
What is keeping you from trusting God today?
Psalm 31:19: How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
God wants good things for you! He loves you!
(Fear, referenced above, means trusting God as the King and Maker of the Universe, as someone who wants the best for you. He wants you to return to Him. Not because He is angry and wants to punish you. But because He loves you!)

What can you do today to get closer to God?
- Spend time in His Word, The Bible, before you get caught in the chaos and busyness of the day.
- Spend time in prayer with Him throughout the day.
- Ask Him for help! He wants to hear from you.
Psalm 9:10: Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
