Fear can sometimes get the best of you. Especially if you focus on the problem(s) you have. Just like when Peter focused on the storm in his life.

Jesus had told him to walk to him on the water. Peter was the only one to ever walk on the water with Jesus. But so many people criticize him for his fear in the moment when he started to fall.

If you feel like you are falling, just take your eyes off your problem. No matter what it is. Or how long you’ve had it. Or how bad or low or fearful or hopeless it makes you feel.

Peter did not stay down. He took the hand of Jesus and got back up again. His courage is so bold. His steps of faith so risky, but so sure, once he knows what to do.

Take some of Peter’s courage. Take that step of faith today no matter the risk.

Jesus will be there to help you and lift you up.

Lift your eyes up to Jesus again. He is your Savior. He is your Rescuer.

He is your Provider. Your source.

No matter what.

He is your Lover.

He is your Physician.

He is your Comforter

He is for you!

He is for you. Not against you. Not even when it feels like you are alone or weak. Or doubting.

Or that you are dealing with the same old struggle or sin or temptation or sickness.

He is for you.

Lift your eyes back onto Jesus.

He will pull you out of any wave that has pulled you down. Out of any storm that has left you ravaged and hopeless. Out of any wave that crashed and dashed you against the rocks.

He lifts you up.

He speaks life into you.

He heals your heart.

And puts a soothing balm on your aching wounds.

With His hands, you are healed.

He comforts you with his perfect peace that you would not be able to believe.

Look. Up. He is there for you and gives you peace in this storm.

Trust Him. He really is always with you. He is the One who will never leave you or forsake you.

Even if things seem scary or hopeless.

He breathes new life into you.

He makes you brave

He gives you NEW STRENGTH.

1 John 4:4
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

You are God’s son. You are God’s daughter. He gives you victory. Run to Him, for He cares for you. He wants good things for you. He is greater than the one in the world. Call out to God. Call for Christ, He will save you. He will lift you up. He will pull you out of the waves that threaten to tug you down and out of the storm that threatens your life.

John 1:5

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

God’s light is stronger and brighter than ANY darkness. Cry out to God to rescue you from the waves, the storm, the darkness.

Psalm 18:16

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters.
