In Asia, we had something called hot pot in China, Thailand and Japan.  And I know it was in Cambodia too. It is basically a pot at your table that you cook food in and eat right out of the pot. In America we call it The Melting Pot and spend and arm and a leg.  In Japan it was called yakiniku.  All you need is a hot plate that can heat to a boil.  Perhaps they are sold on Amazon.  Maybe something like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Aroma-AHP-303-Single-Plate-Black/dp/B0007QCRNU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1392022979&sr=8-7&keywords=hot+pot

For the broth:

Soy, sake, stock and sugar

It's simple.  Purchase your favorite veggies, mushrooms, potatoes and thinly sliced meats, throw in the stock and eat.  Dip in your favorite sauces.  Be creative and have fun!

Just make sure to use cooking chopsticks separate from your eating chopsticks!

And for more fun, have yakiniku.  The only difference is that you are cooking your veggies and meat on a skillet at your table.  How fun is that for a dinner party!?
