Sopska Salad  

Ingredients:

The most beautiful tomatoes in the whole world.  Oh wait, those are in Europe.  America, what will I do when I get home?

Onion

Cucumber

And then some sort of cheese.  I still don't know what it is, but it tastes like Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

 

There is no dressing on this salad, and I'm sorry to say that it doesn't need it because the tomatoes are truly that amazing.  I know this won't replicate like I want to when I get home.  Perhaps, if it needs more flavor in the US, try some oil and vinegar of your choice.

 

Cut up your tomatoes and cucumber into chunks.  Dice your onion.  Toss together and put in a bowl.  Here's my thinking for the cheese to make it like they do in Sombor.  Freeze some cream cheese and then use a shredder to put in on top of your salad.  I think it will work!  Put a generous amount!  They do in Serbia after all:)
