Ingredients:

1/2 cup honey

1 cup water

1 pack of yeast (about 12.5 grams total)

2 eggs

4-5 cups flour

1/4 cup oil

1/2 Tb heaping

In a bowl, mix together the honey, 1/2 cup very warm water and oil.  Then addsalt and the 2 eggs.  Then add 2 cups of flour.  

In a cup add 1/2 cup warm water to the yeast.  Not too hot or it will kill the yeast.  Add one pinch of sugar.  Stir until dissolved.  Let it sit for a few minutes.  When it is foamy, add it to the mixture.  

Beat the dough on low speed for 30 seconds and then on high for 3 minutes.  Add another cup of flour and mix with a wooden spoon.  Keep adding flour until you need to begin kneading the dough.  Knead the dough on a well-floured counter for 6-8 minutes.  

After kneading, let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours in a greased bowl.  After 2 hours, punch the dough and knead it to get the air out.  Cut the dough into 6 equal parts and roll each piece into a long strip.  Pinch the 6 ends together and braid the dough using the 6 braid method.  Let it rise for another 45 minutes to 1 hour on parchment paper.  Bake at 300 F for about 30- 45 minutes. It will be done when tapping on the bottom it sounds hollow.

Be sure to make 2 loaves for the Shabbat.  Enjoy over prayers, with wine and surrounded by family and friends.
