Hello, Kid's Creek!
I left Asia last week and now I'm in eastern Europe. I'm living above a church in Gorre, Albania. Albania is north of Greece and just a boat ride from Italy. So far we have made some friends at the high school and played video games with them, killer ping pong, puzzles, UNO, volleyball, sang and played music with them, taught them English and played their favorite sport, football.

Nope, not that kind of football.
This kind.

Interesting fact:
If you ever come to Albania, be careful when you say yes and no. Nodding your head means no and shaking your head means yes. Yikes, talk about trouble with communicating! See if you can change that even for one day.
Can you imagine if you were served some funny food in Albania that you didn't like. You were asked if you wanted more and you shook your head no. Actually you just told them yes! They would give you more and more! I'll have to be careful this month.
This week we will be cleaning and organizing donations to the church to give to those in villages who need them. We will also get a chance to go bring food to those who are hungry.
We will also be going to prison! I've never worked in or even visited a prison, but I have felt moved to have the chance to work in a prison because Jesus says in the Bible in Matthew 25:36:
'I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
What does Jesus mean that he was in prison? He means that anytime we give from our hearts to others it is like giving to Jesus.
Pray that we will be able to be like Jesus to those we meet in Albania this month, those needing clothes, those who are hungry and sick and those in prison.
