This month of Unsung Heroes has taught me some new things about myself. Some that I liked and more that I didn't. Which is why it was well worth the time.

When I go with my family or friends to the movies, we always wait at the end to see if there might be something more to see at the end of the credits. Sometimes we feel so smart that we waited.

I imagine that if my name was on the big silver screen for a part I played in a movie, I would be most excited for the credits – just to see my name in black in white with a sea of other names. Perhaps no one would wait to see it and even more likely that people would never find it or know who that name belongs to.

I know that Unsung Heroes is about finding people doing God's work overseas. And there are some people overseas right now that you should know about that I haven't mentioned yet.

So roll the credits:

My Unsung Heroes

My Mayflower Starbucks team and customers – You taught me more than you could ever know over 5 and a half years and you continue to do good.

My Bell Creek Community family – You loved me just the way I am and taught me to fall in love with the body of Christ.

City of Refuge in Jamaica – That year I visited you began something fresh in my heart.

Shon – Your kindness was always felt to it's fullness.

My rock climbing friends – you made me excited to make friends which has always been a fear of mine including heights.

The staff at Adventures in Missions – I hear stories that you have our pictures on your walls and that you pray for us.

Karen and Dan Shrogen – You specifically love each one of us.

My church buddies, Nate, Renee, Brianne, Brian, Scott, and Josh – Just another reason I look forward to Sundays.

My pastors – They support my crazy adventures and see Christ in me.

Kim Ford – She fasts and prays for me and I feel it.

The Kriegers – they are missionaries to kids in Michigan and they completely inspire me.

Jack and Pam Pelon – It's very rare to feel a love like the kind they give.

Tera White – I know you aren't here, but your love was so generous when I met you.

The Barbers – You walked with me through so much growth.

The Millers, Stanfords Wynes and Neff – I keep seeing how you pour over us in all your love and prayers.

My Grandparents – The way you tell me how proud you are of me is your greatest gift.

My aunts and uncles for praying for me and supporting me.

My aunt Diane – Always uplifting and always full of wisdom.

Krista – Your friendship and consistency.

My cousins – I wish you all knew how deeply I've loved you and wish I could give it up more freely to you.

Nicole – Your laughter and honesty are good to me.

Lina – 10 years of fun and I look forward to the next 10.

Laura – Like iron sharpening iron.

John – The man I'm so proud of every time I talk about him – always have and always will.

Christina – My sister, my prayer warrior, my friend.

Rachel, Kierstyn, Micah – I have always tried to make you so proud when in fact you have made me the proud one of all of you.

Mom – No one feels a love as strong as her mom and I would even feel it if I were a million miles away.

Dad – My story with Jesus in so many ways begins and ends with you and experiencing our Abba, Father.

My team, Living Waters – Lashon, Kristin, Tenille, Kayla, Stephanie and Lindsey. We walked 2 months together in this life. God put us together for a season and I am forever grateful.
