I have a lot of work to accomplish before I take off in September. I really believe that what I do here and now is just as important as what I will do there. I have had and will have so many opportunities to share what God is doing in my heart and life. Of course, raising funds is part of the work. I am so pleased to be selling bracelets from the Threads of Hope foundation in the Philippines. The bracelets are made by families and act as their source of income. They are $2 a piece. One dollar goes back to the families and the other to my fundraising. It is a small fundraiser, and I know I will not get most of my support this way, but I love that it is a great way to have a conversation with kids, customers and people I don't know well about this journey. It is also such a great way to give back to some of the people I likely will visit when I go to the Philippines.
