Made it to Tanzania!! Waiting at our hotel for our bus arrive and take us on the 18 hour ride to our contact. We were supposed to leave 5 hours ago…welcome to Africa!! I officially know the definition of “African time”. Haha! Well I wait I’ve decided to update you with our new teammates!
AIM started new program called “Exposure” where college age people can join a current World Race squad for 1 month. During this month they are able to experience not only missions but The World Race culture as well so they can see if it is something for them before they sign up for 11 months. Our Squad (D squad!), has been selected to receive the 2nd group ever!! So yesterday in the Istanbul, Turkey airport we met up with our 8 new squadmates!!
Candace is our new teammate! I am so excited to get to know her. I’m also excited to see what God does within her this month! I know this month is going be awesome and I’m so glad she will be able to experience it with us!
Another fact, I have been designated as her leader. When I found out in all honesty I didn’t want to be leader. Nope, not me, no thank you. But the more I think and pray about it the more peace I have. I know this is exactly what God wants for me and I’m excited to see the growth that comes along with leading. God is already showing me things and I know it’s just the beginning. I’m processing, and it’s good! 😉
Sidenote: When I realized I have to start a new secion on my blog "6 Tanzania" it dawned on me that we have offically been to more countries than we have left…crazy!!
