– Dirty feet
– Cattle walking down the street

– No rain
– Breakfast in bed
(the benefit of my bedroom, living room, and dining room being one in the same)
– Smiling, waving, and saying “Hola” to everyone we pass
– Riding in the bed of a pickup truck
– Mountains and volcanoes everywhere I look
– Giving my testimony in a high school class room

– Pupusas and other amazing food
– Walking to the house down the street to by a soda from her store
– Meeting a family that stole my heart

– Going to the bathroom in the field across the street because the toilet it broke
– Sleeping on sleeping pads in a furniture less house
– Hot days and cool nights
– Getting dirt under my nails from scratching my leg
– Having sore legs for days from racing with kids in the soccer field
(yes, I’m that out of shape haha)
– Going up to random house, inviting them to our church service in their community, and praying for them

– Kool-aid, tang, and grape soda….lots of it
– Praying for a dead man to rise
– Facebook being the only website that is constant. All other sites chose when they want to load and when they don’t.
– Thousands of miles away from my close friend’s funeral and being grateful for Skype (read my blog post “Unmatchable comfort in indescribable pain”)
– Worship and prayer in the waiting room of a health clinic
– Handwashing clothes
– Choco-bananas for 15 cents
– Laying in the hammock in our living room

– Church 4 times a week….in Spanish
– Watching the stars from the bed of the truck as I ride home at night
– Walking, lots of walking
– Missionary’s Tan (in addition to a farmer’s tan, white wrists from bracelets and watch and flip flop lines)
– Random pastor showing up at our house telling us we are leaving in 15 minutes to do a church service at his church
– Lots of cows, chickens, horses, dogs, goats, and 2 cats
– Amazing waterfalls on our days off
