Loving it here in Bukembe, Kenya. It is an absolutely beautiful country! We are teaching at the neighborhood Christian school. I'm teaching Science! Science has always been my favorite subject in school so I'm excited I get to teach it. The kids are great! We teach 4 classes a day and we rotate grades 1st through 6th. I know we aren't supposed to have favorites but I'd have to say the 6th graders are my favorite. One day there lesson was about Malaria and I showed them my tattoo of my mosquito (My dad calls me Skeeter) They thought it was hilarious! Naturally they asked if I had other tattoos so I told them including the butterfly on my back. Then they started singing a song about Butterflies and Mosquitos…so adorable! Now every time they see me or I walk into class they start singing the song. Check out the video at the bottom of this post.

I preached my first sermon at a small church. They used car batteries to power the keyboard,2 chickens were roaming around which they later gave to us for a gift for dinner, and there was maybe only 20 people there. I have learned that God moves and he speaks no matter how big or small the church is….he's a mighty God and is always moving!!

Last night we were doing feedback and I saw a small mouse run out from under my bed. He was really cute so I decided to name him Ralph. Well, turns out this morning Ralph decided he wanted to come cuddle! I woke up to feeling something on my leg then hearing scurrying on my bed. I sat up and looked around and saw nothing. Then all of a sudden down by my feet Ralph was running and jumping around because he couldn't get out from under my mosquito net. I lifted the net and he hopped off the bed. Happened so quickly….I didn't even scream! 30 minutes later just as I was falling back asleep he climbed back in bed!! All I could say was "really Ralph?! Your not allowed up here!" He ran laps around my bed trying to get off the bed but couldn't because of the net. As I sat in the middle of my bed trying to catch him all I could do was laugh and say outloud "Im really trying to catch a mouse that is running around my bed! haha yep…this is my life!" Crazy cause I don't think month one I would have been so calm about it. Turns out Ralph got away yet again. Hopefully he will stay out of my bed!

I'll be spending this coming week teaching in the morning and evangalizing in the evening. The last week we are here we will have crusades. We are here until August 1st then we head to Uganda. Looking forward to a safari at the end of this month!!! Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!!! Love and miss you all!!!
