this is an update! [add in a rap beat to that line]
so what in the world has been going on these past weeks in the life of jen fodor?
we departed the desert land of chincha, peru from digging fresh water lines to tarping homes to going to the northern part of peru… Iquitos at the basin of the amazon river. we hung tight for a few days recouping and then headed to living on a barge for 2 weeks.

from doing earthquake relief we moved into a new part of our outreach… working with kids! our days have been spent planning different activities for the youth to participate in and sharing God’s love! i’ve been going back to my camp days of thinking of songs and activities for them to play… we’ve had some help with spanish songs to sing with the kids! watch out – jen fodor’s kids spanish cd will be soon coming to a store near you! haha.

we were docked for those 2 weeks on the amazon…. but one day the boat started to move! “TO THE HEADWATERS OF THE AMAZON RIVER!!!!” check out this video my friend rachel put together….
Oh Snap… The Houseboat is moving! from Rachel Hunt on Vimeo.
that day was awesome. i was so happy at 6am in the morning…..

there was a sloth!!!!!

i tried coconut straight from the source!!!

and i just walked around the small village we were at and played some jump rope with the kids. it was pretty sweet.
it started getting really humid and we had to be back at the boat at 11am…. when i arrived at the boat i saw people jumping off the second level into the AMAZON!
now don’t worry…. we weren’t in a part that had piranhas so we didn’t have to worry about it. bombs away!

since waking up so early lets say 4am…. many were tired. rusty our fearless leader…

it was time to head back up to nauta for our remainder of the day!
