‘’ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
I am still wrapping my head around the fact that God has called me to leave my whole life behind and be fully dependent on Him. I prayed to be pushed, I prayed to be called and I prayed to live a life full of obedience, but not in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought to be send on a mission around the world.
My whole life before Jesus was wrapped up in a comfy bubble.
A bubble full of possessions.
A bubble full of glitz and glam.
A bubble full of security.
A bubble full of brokenness.
From the day we are born most of us are trained to be save. Babies are splattered with hand sanitizer before they can even walk. Children can’t play outside because someone might snatch them away. Adults don’t want to hang out or be seen with certain people because of their reputation, missing out on valuable relationships. We save our money out of fear of the unknown, but sometimes we don’t even make it until retirement. We don’t like to be pushed out of our comfort zone. We rather admire people live adventures on the big screen, instead off diving into the journey God has prepared for us.
When Jesus died on the cross, He died for all of us!! Young, old, black, white, yellow and purple. He died not only to mark you as one of His own, but He died so you can have total and complete freedom. Freedom from addiction, freedom from shame, freedom from depression, freedom from fear and even complete freedom in death. He came and died so you can live a life according to Gods will. Being fully secure in His arms, giving Him complete trust. God never gave you a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7. Jesus didn’t die so you can continue to sit on the sidelines. There is a purpose in your story. If you have a heartbeat and you are breathing God wants you to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Sometimes it requires falling completely into the unknown and fully surrendering to Him. The world needs you. Your talents, gifts and passions serve a bigger plan. Not to get you save and secure but to give others hope through our Savior. God loves people and you show His love if you get out there and love people like God loves them. The unlovable, the outcasts, and the ones the world just loves to hate. Jesus died for all of them and He needs you to be His vessel. Step out of your fear, and into His Glory.
Life isn’t about you it is about the One that so beautifully made you. Let Gods Glory be bigger than your fears.
