Life is not promised, tomorrow we could be taken home.
What is your legacy
What will people say about you and your life
Were you a true representation of Jesus

We have been working with Outpour movement in Mae Sot, a little city that borders into Burma. Outpour gives a voice to the Burmese people, while sharing the love of Christ in a country devastated by poverty and hopelesness.

A couple of days ago I had the honor to meet a Burmese man that was changed by the touch of God. Ko Myo is an example of Christ, fighting for justice, loving his people and sacrificing for the country he thought God forgot about.
Years ago Ray, our ministry host felt led by the Spirit to talk to a man who was sitting on a park bench, desperate for God to show up.
That man was Ko Myo! His life has never been the same!

Ko Myo was touched by the One true living God and has since been living a life of constant danger, dying to self and fighting for the oppressed. He is full of joy and touched by grace. I even overheard people say he is like a modern day Apostle Paul.
He “made” the blacklist in his country. I don’t say this to be funny, I say this because nothing is to radical for the cause of Christ.

He gave it all, no matter the cost.
Following Christ no matter what price he had to pay.

Those were the things I learned about a brother, I have only met once. But sometimes that is all it takes! One meeting can change you.

Right now Ko Myo is with Jesus. He passed away yesterday morning. Just like that, God decided to take him home. It was his time. Gods purpose in his life has been fulfilled. He gave it all, for the Kingdom, for his God, for the cause.

Today I feel convicted about my month in Thailand. I was running a lot. Running away from people and relationships. I didn’t want to be around anyone. I didn’t love the way I should have and I didn’t give the way I should have. I wasn’t intentional with my time and people. I didn’t give it all for the cause. I was selfish and self centered. A sinner that was overtaken by its flesh.

Fact is I don’t know when my time is up. Nobody does. I don’t wanna waste anymore precious minutes, concerning and worrying about things that don’t matter.
Living the way Paul wrote in Philippians is what I yearn for.

“I once thought these things were valuable but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him.”
Philippians 3:7-9

It is the Love for Burma and his people that made Jesus shine through Ko Myo. And his willingness to place others above himself, loving the way Jesus did. I wanna take that gift, that Ko Myo had and restlessly pursue God and His people, giving it all until my last breath.

Love
