Family, friends, supporters, complete strangers, etc.  This is a bit of a breakdown of my fundraising situation.  I have to raise $15,500 for this trip.  I have deadlines for different amounts, and these deadlines actually allow me to start on my Race without being fully funded (although it would be WONDERFUL if I could be fully funded before I leave).

My deadlines:

  • $3,500 – Due 2 weeks before Training Camp (Date to be determined)
  • $6,500 – Due 6/17/2013 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
  • $11,000 – Due 10/1/2013 (End of 3 months on the field)
  • $15,500 – Total Due 1/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
(To clarify for the first deadline: Training camp will be in mid-May, so the first deadline will be around the end of April.)

This journey is a huge step of faith for me.  The fundraising aspect is a bit overwhelming.  I don't like asking for help, but God wants me to not only watch Him provide but He is also asking me to humble myself and accept support from others.  Not everyone is called to missions, but everyone is called to be a part of God's Mission.  Every role is important.  When I first heard about the World Race I never thought I would be called to go, but here I am.  And now I need you; I need support.

If you think that God is calling you to support me there are a couple ways of doing this.  One is to click the "Support me" link on the left side of my blog and make a donation online.  Please note that a processing fee will be taken out of the donation amount.  You can also mail in a check made out to Adventures in Missions to P.O. Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. If you choose this option you MUST put my name [Jennifer Doll] on the memo line so that the money gets put in my account!

You can also keep an eye out for fundraisers.  I will likely be posting about them on here, and you can also keep updated by liking my Facebook page. I use that to post updates to this blog and for updates on fundraisers.  Currently I am selling page corner bookmarks [pictures to come later…probably in a later blog], and collecting change.  I have a few other ideas bouncing around in my head as well.

And now, the most important request I have for you…please PRAY for me and this trip.  I know God is bigger than money, and I know He is faithful to provide.  This journey is about spiritual growth, obedience and blessing the nations.  I will hit highs and lows and prayer support is what I need most.
