“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

I have been accepted to go on The World Race!

So you are probably wondering what this amazing experience is!

Its Called the World Race! It starts for me on September 1, 2012. I will be visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Tanzania, Mozambique, Swaziland, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Moldova, Romania, and Ireland. There will be various organizations we will be partnering with in each country. I will be doing everything from caring for orphans, building houses, planting churches, ministering to women and children trapped in prostitution, local ministry and much more. The World Race is a chance to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it’s not about you; it’s about the Kingdom.

This is so huge for me. Literally, a year ago if you were to tell me about the World Race I would have said “Wow that sounds awesome, I wish I could do it, but there is no way!” HAHA God has radically changed everything in my life. From being in a serious, steady relationship with someone I thought I was going to marry (and would have never left him for 11 months) from having a full time job, my own apartment and a cat. To now, being single, working 8 hours a week, living in a small room with a family I barely know, to being dirt poor. God literally changed everything in my life. At the time I had no idea why and what He was doing. It was painful. I didn’t understand. But now, looking back, I can see exactly what God was doing. He used this past year to break me down, to prepare me, to stretch me in ways I have never experienced. Before I would have said “I can’t quit my full time job, I can’t leave my boyfriend, what about my apartment, what about money and bills?” Literally God has changed everything that would have hindered me from going. After about 8 months of constant change, God finally delivered The World Race to me.

As with anything else, this trip does cost money, $15,500 to be exact. This will cover all of my expenses for the entire year. I completely trust that God will provide for my needs, both prayerfully and financially, as I have no doubts I have been led to this mission by no accident. Please know that I don’t want you feeling pressured to financially support me, I do ask that you prayerfully consider it, and keep me in your prayers throughout this journey. Twenty five people pledging $50 a month for 12 months, provides the funds necessary for this mission, although anything helps. Plus, any funds donated are all tax deductible as well. (501c3).

Thank you so much for taking time to read my blog.
Sincerely, Jen
