My apologies for taking so long to post about my time in Romania!  The month of July was all about transition. Stepping into a new season is exciting but not always easy.  Fully embracing this next chapter of my life was tough!  I often thought about my family, my friends and the life I left back at home.  Pirate football, fishing on the Broad, cold morning sunrises in the wetlands, steak and potatoes, joking around with my buddies, Sunday mornings at Integrity, the crew at Crossfit Rocky Mount and training at Tier 1 Barbell are just a few.

After arriving in Draganesti, I came to the realization that this year is about living with less and giving more. Sacrificing worldly possessions in order to serve others.  The days were long, the sleep wasn't great, but my time with the folks in Romania was awesome!  I never expected to connect so strongly or build such solid relationships with the people of Draganesti.  This proved to be the most valuable lesson learned.

When I release expectations of what God can do in my life, He moves!  As Christians, if we truly believe that Jesus not only died for our sins but rose from the grave and conquered death, there are no limitations to His power.  God is not designed to be put in a box.  While the video below shows God's grandeur, it is only a glimpse of His glory.  I pray that you too may see Him work in your life as He has mine.  All it takes is believing.  My final prayer for you is this:

May God bless you with a restless discomfort about easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may seek truth boldly and love deep within your heart.

May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may tirelessly work for justice, freedom, and peace among all people.

May God bless you with the gift of tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all that they cherish, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and transform their pain into joy.

May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you really can make a difference in this world, so that you are able, with God’s grace, to do what others claim cannot be done.
