Hey Friends,

Super Excited to tell you all I am in Ukraine.

First let me tell you a little about launch. I got to Georgia with a lot on my mind, the death of my father, leaving for a year, and every emotion available tapped into. I really enjoyed all the sessions and worship but my mind couldn’t let much in. Sunday was the hardest for me with the final parent good byes but I made it through with a ton of prayer. Honestly I have been finding my self praying more than thinking.

Tuesday morning we launch on a long few days of flights and airports starting with a two hour delay in Atlanta to getting onto a new plane in Istanbul. Arriving late on Wednesday night we got a very nice hostel waking up to a city of life in Lviv,Ukraine. With teams heading to their mission areas team Vathos were setting plans to get to our site in Rivne(about a 2 hour train ride). Meeting generous people along the way we made it to our area with our hosts waiting. Also forgot to mention that my bag got lost so I had no luggage so upon arrival to our host my bag beat my team! (you can imagine my excitement) Let me tell you a little about Rivne, the city is very relaxed with amazing people and great food.

We have already had an adventure day which we used to go to the tunnel of love and then roam the city square. Church was on Sunday which we were asked to tell a little about our team and sing a song, everyone was very intrigued by us and I made a new friend with a little girl around 6. We played peekaboo during service, I guess once a kid always a kid haha.

The exciting news is my team and around a 1,000 other Christians are meeting by the black sea for a retreat/camp which we will be prepping to teach English when we get back. This will be my first over night sleeper train to the location which is around 13 hours so I’m sure I will be rocked to sleep. Well I cant wait until I can tell you more so stay tuned and God Bless!
