Greetings!
My name is Jeff Barker and I’m a country boy born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming located at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. With that said you can guess that I really enjoy the outdoors and going camping, 4- wheeling, snow machining, hiking, dirt biking and the list goes on.
After attending college, I have worked in the Residential Construction Industry and most recently owned and operated multiple of my own small businesses. I have tried to live life in my own way looking for happiness, only to find the good, bad and the ugly. I am ready for a new chapter in my life and looking forward to what God has in store for my future.
In March this year I got to go on my very first mission trip to Nicaragua. (My mom says it was a God thing.) I was hooked. I have really wanted to travel to other countries and am no stranger to adventure. A fellow mission traveler on that trip suggested World Race. His daughter had gone and she has been instrumental in my decision to go. Thank you Kathryn Law!
Although I was born and raised in the church, my busy life took me away from attending on a regular basis. I am not where I want to be in my relationship with God. I am working on it and believe that this opportunity with World Race will bring me closer as I depend on Him.
I am so excited and little overwhelmed. Guess that’s where trusting God comes in handy.
PLEASE keep PRAYING for me.
