Our time in Uganda has came to a close and I have worked
very hard and learned a lot. I
have seen some things that have made me bolder. I have seen things that have made me sad. I have never in my life been bolder
sharing Jesus than this month in Uganda.
I have never in my life prayed for people so much. As we finish our ministry here in
Bugiri, our team has become tighter and stronger. Everyone has stepped up and filled a role. I have seen us work more as a body this
month than ever before. We
spent almost ever day doing the same thing Door to Door in the morning and
teaching/ preaching every afternoon.
Although, I don’t consider myself an evangelist that is exactly the role
my team and myself have played this month. We are not qualified for that role, but the Lord worked
nonetheless, and we saw many people accept Jesus as their Lord. We also saw some people physically
healed. I pray I can bring this
newfound boldness back with me to the states, because I do not want to be the
same Jeff as before. I have
enjoyed being able to see some fruit after sharing about Jesus. The disappointment from China has been
replaced with fatigue from all the amazing things that have happened here.
My time in Uganda ended with a White Rafting Trip down the
Nile and a bungee jump into the Nile.
I enjoyed both a lot, who wouldn’t! I also got to chase down a purse-snatcher at a stop our bus
made in Uganda on the way to debrief in Nairobi. The man was caught after a long chase though allies for 4
blocks. He was on the other
side of a row of buses from me and some bus drivers caught him. I got the money back but the mob
started beating the thief, so I tried to calm them down. Thank God a policeman helped
rescue the guys and the police station was right there. I just filled out a little signature
sheet and left. Praise the Lord
for some excitement.
Ps: I am paying for the rafting not you generous supportersJ
