Moldova, Moldova, Moldova what a beautiful country full of beautiful people.   Rolling hills full of freshly plowed fields and vineyards, but its beauty could almost be trumped by its poverty.  The government is in chaos, and sex trafficking is a huge problem here.  My team has spent some of our time in Moldova with pastor Vitalii Gaiceanu at his 3 transition houses for teen orphans in Cornish, Moldova.  I enjoyed working on hoeing a huge field for planting crops for the children to eat, and working along side the teens who are mostly boys.  They are hard working and a good example of a Band of Brothers.  Vitalii and his brothers (he has 9 of them) work well with the boys and the community is strong there though they live in poverty.  I got to preach and be involved in their night bible study, which was awesome.  I shared about identity and the spirit of adoption God has for all his children.  The teens, and everyone else who chooses to be are adopted by the King of Kings, and that is the good news.
Now we have moved on from Cornish to Soldernisti, Moldova and we are working with pastor Vasilli who is opening a transition home for girls in May.   We have been digging a ditch for a drain pipe, and in the afternoons we have gone to local villages to play with children and give a message about Jesus.   Today I somehow found myself in an official soccer match in the village of Alcedari where I was a goalkeeper.   The players ages ranged from 45 to 13 years old.   I have not played soccer since I was 8 years old, and it showed big time.   At least, I played hard!   See below.
Ps I was not in Chisinau during the rioting, I left the morning of the rioting.  No big deal just another day in a poor country with a questionable/unstable government.
