Sorry for not keeping up with my blog as much this month. I was sick for most of the last week with a high temperature, nausea and diarrhea. Yeah, that is quite possibly the best way I have started one of my blogs yet. Nothing like being ill in a foreign country! Good times.
Anyways, our time here in Chepen has come to a close and we are thankful for all that God has taught us. We are going to miss all of our new friends, but we are encouraged with how God in moving in this church and city. Last night we went to a Bible study and most of the people we got to know were there. It was a special time to play games (we taught them how to play “spoons” and it was a blast), talk, and share in the word. It was a fitting end to our time here.

On our way back from the Bible study, Henry, who is one of the main people we did ministry with this month, let me drive his moto-taxi back to the church. The only issue is that I have no idea how to shift, I did not have a contact in my left eye, it was dark, and oh yeah, there are really no traffic rules. Besides that, I was good to go! I only stalled twice and I managed to arrive back at the church safely. It was a fun time and I’m just happy that I didn’t crash the moto-taxi since he drives it for a living.

We are leaving today (September 10) for Puno, Peru where we will spend a couple of free days at Lake Titicaca. From there, we will travel to Cochabamba, Bolivia, which is the site of our next ministry location.
We will be working and staying at the Bolivian Children’s Mission home. The kids we will be staying and working with have either been abandoned or abused. We are all very excited about this opportunity to spend time with them and share the love of Jesus. Here is the website for the ministry:

I hope to post a video recapping our time in Chepen within the next week. We have an intense week of travel upcoming so please keep my squad in your prayers.
Love you all!
