Well I bought a goat today. I've joked about it ever since last year. It was always this mindset of "oh, I'ma have my birthday in Romania! Let's have a gypsy birthday and roast a goat!" Well…I'm in Bulgaria, not Romania, and not with gypsies but…. The goat joke persisted and as I walked out the door today, the ministry contacts were waiting for me with a local farmer. "Jed, this is the man with the goat, do you still want it?" I mean….ya! How could I pass that up? "Ok, the goat is 20 kilos, it'll cost you 90 lev, is that acceptable?" Um…..yes! Totally! "Ok, shake hands, you can pick it up Wednesday!"

And that's how Charles Wayne Johnson came into my possession. Good luck to the Canadian Christian Choir who shows up on my birthday:)

Speaking of birthdays! Thursday's the day! I'll be a big bad 23 year old. 22 wasn't a bad year but 23 is already shaping up to be one big bit of excitement. I still need about $3,000 to have this trip paid off in full and to be honest, while I'm beyond excited about Charles, he and I would both be much more excited about getting this trip paid off, or at least another significant chunk out of the way! (I need to clarify that I didn't spend money that could have gone into my trip on this goat, money was pooled together as a present for him)

I know a lot of people would love to help but don't feel like they can give enough to make a difference but honestly that's completely ok! A lot of things money wise for us on the race are more morale boosters than anything. Even a fresh donation of $5 is enough to give most of us a major pick me up so with that in mind, if you can give $5 and want to bless me and bless this trip that I'm on and what God's doing around the world, give $5 please! If you are thinking hey, I really want to bless him beyond words and make sure this isn't a worry for him anymore, feel free to give $3,000! God's got deep pockets and He said ask and you shall receive so I'm asking:) It's well worth investing into. Either way though, every single penny helps and is a blessing beyond words. Thanks so much to all who have already given and if ya haven't, don't fear, now's your chance!!! 😀

Ok, time for my blog to tell everyone what I've been up to but seriously….Charles and I thank you in advance for all donations given throughout the next week and in general. We as missionaries rely on people like you. God bless.
