Oh identity and promises…. The two things have been some of my biggest passions and favorite areas to minister in since getting saved. They're the two biggest essentials that you need in order to live a victorious christian life and that's exactly why they're the two largest areas that the devil likes to attack. When the devil came after Adam and Eve his challenge was "Did God REALLY say……?", challenging God's word. Then the devil went against the second Adam (Jesus) and said "IF you're the son of God…..", challenging His identity. To this day Satan hasn't stopped using these two attacks because HE.KNOWS.THEY.WORK. Over and over again I see people battling with issues or asking for prayers in areas that, quite honestly, if they knew what God had already said on the matter, would never be an issue and thus, in an attempt to give the devil yet another black eye, I've compiled a list of credentials you get to stand on in terms of your identity, and in terms of what God's already promised you and when you have that powerhouse of a weapon behind you, you get to defeat the devil gloriously like Jesus did in the desert by quoting and standing on promises instead of falling for a lie like Adam and Eve did. If it's in the word, it's yours (Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89). Enjoy!

  • God will never disapoint you (1 Peter 2:6)

So… I feel like I could keep going but this is probably a great list to start out with and chew on for a bit. God is so fantastic and He's made you so wonderfully and given you such an amazing identity, and such an incredible inheritance and so many phenominal promises…. But what good are they to you if you don't know them? God has the ability to do all that He's promised….and He will….because it's His good pleasure to do so… (Romans 4:20-21)

The problem is that when we don't know, or at least don't believe, what God's already done and already said about us and about what He's given us then we'll let things hurt us that should never have the power to do so….we'll blame God, or even worship God, for things that were in no way Him or His will, instead of tearing down the attacks of the enemy….. We'll beg and plead with Him for things He's already said He's given us, we'll think we're worshiping Him by letting the devil kick our butt when in reality, it's our victories that bring glory to Him, and we'll put ourselves down through false humility left and right instead of realizing God never put us down, He lifted us up, and realizing that is what true humility looks like.

The world's seen too many generations of christians who don't understand the very God they claim to follow and it's turned out to be really unappealing to them…. If the world REALLY knew the things our Papa had to offer, they'd come RUNNING to Him just like the sinners did with Jesus and with the disciples in the book of Acts. It's time to change that, go be empowered and bring the kingdom and realize that you are fearfully and wonderfully made!
