As I write this blog, I’m about $1500 short of my second deadline, due in my account in 4 days! I know what you’re thinking because I’ve thought it too…what if it doesn’t happen? $1500 is a lot of money for 4 days.
But despite the worry that tries to creep into my head ALL DAY LONG, I’m choosing to trust God. I’ve done my part, now I just have to wait for God to do His. He knows how much I need and when I need it. And, honestly, $1500 is nothing to Him.

In my waiting, I CAN’T WORRY. God actually tells me not to worry about anything. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. – (Philippians 4:6-7)
Sometimes it can seem pretty hard to look at my situation and trust God but it was never up to me to begin with. I knew going into this that there was no way I could work and save up $16,285 by myself. So as I wait, I continually put my trust in God. This is His crazy plan, and isn’t it far better than mine anyway?
I’m reminded of the verse in Romans 5:3-5. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
No one wants to run into problems and trials, but isn’t it cool that God uses them to better us in the process? And I know that God is faithful. The funds will come in and in the end there will be no need to worry anyway.
So will you pray with me? Pray that I don’t worry and continue to have peace. Pray that God develops my endurance, character, and hope of salvation. Pray that God continues to bring in the funds necessary, and bless those that are sacrificing to support me on this journey. Thanks everyone!
