Life is funny. God is awesome!
As I live my life, I know God is always working in me. I just don’t always see where we’re going. I’ve mentioned this idea in a previous post. God’s in control and even though it seems crazy, He has it figured out.
This past year God has been growing me in the areas of trust in Him and selflessness. These are some hard and painful growth spurts, let me tell you. And last year, my life seemed like a pile of Legos. But God is good! He is making something awesome. And not just for me. Something I keep telling myself over and over…I even put it on a post it note on my mirror…It’s not about me. It’s about the Kingdom.

I’m sure when the Legos for this sculpture were delivered, it didn’t look like much. But Nathan Sawaya (the artist) had a plan and made something great. God, our designer, always knows what’s up. He knows where the pieces need to go, even when it looks like things aren’t fitting together how they’re “supposed to” fit. He sees the bigger picture.
My “it’s not about me” Aha! moment has exploded into my fundraising. It’s really hard for me to ask people for money. I keep thinking that people are just going to think I’m just taking a giant vacation to see the world. WRONG! God is constantly showing me that this trip around the world isn’t about me, it’s for His Kingdom. Everything I do is for His Kingdom. Everyone needs to hear about the love of God. People in India, China, Turkey and St. Cloud, Minnesota. It doesn’t matter if I’m pumping gas in -25 temps or buying socks at Target, my time is God’s. Trust me, this is way harder to live out than type it in a blog.
I know not everyone can drop everything and just go. I know I’m blessed to be in this season of life. But while you may not be able to go, God may be leading you to help fund His Kingdom. I would love the opportunity to go as your ambassador to the nations. Your money would help God’s love explode into other parts of the world…to orphans, the destitute, prostitutes, single moms, forgotten elderly, society’s outcasts, and regular people like you and me.
Would you consider supporting me as I set out to be Love to everyone I meet?
If you would like to know more about my specific journey and the World Race trip I will be a part of, let me know. I would love to meet with you or Skype and share my heart.
