5.  People are very friendly here.

God has blessed us with people who
are willing to drive us around and help us whenever they can. There are a lot of Americans here at the
church we are serving so it’s good to have a bit of home as well. One couple from Arizona have been a huge blessing and it’s
been great getting to know them. They
made us dinner one night, which was awesome.

4.  Community is hard but good.

Living without accountability is
easy. In the States it was easy to go
about my day doing what I wanted whenever I wanted to. But living in community now I have to be
cautious and courteous of those around me. I have to take on a servants heart. I don’t always get what I want and more times then not I feel like I’m
always getting the raw end of the deal. But through it all I’m learning and growing and God is bringing out
things in myself that need to be removed and changed.

3.  Living in a space that is 7 feet x 4 feet is possible.

We are tenting it this month and
it’s a good thing I couldn’t bring as much stuff as I wanted to because if I
did it would not have fit in my tent. I
have a two person tent but for some reason it’s a lot smaller then the other
two person tents so I’m cozy!! It’s
actually nice having everything so handy. And my tent did withstand the first rain storm!!

2.  I need a pop every once in awhile to keep going.

I’m a big pop drinker. Dr. Pepper is my drink of choice, but here I
have to drink water. We can’t afford pop
in our food budget so I’ve been drinking a ton of water which is so good for
me, but I need a coke!! I’ve have the opportunity
to go to the store a couple of times to get a coke and on those days I felt
energized. I’m still working on how I
can get a coke more often or find another way to get some much needed caffeine.

1.  God’s creation is beautiful!

There is no bad view here. Everywhere you look it’s colorful and
mountainous. The flowers are bright and
beautiful. God created an amazing place
here that I can’t help but be in awe of when I look out. The stars are really amazing at night too.
